Job Description

The SAR engineer at Eartheye Space plays a critical role in developing SAR-based feeds. As the largest SAR satellite operator in every band without owning an SAR satellite, the opportunity to work with all SAR bands and their corresponding InSAR is unique.

Work Experience

You should have:

• At least five years of experience working with SAR data
• Advanced knowledge of remote sensing and CV/ML
• Advanced knowledge of SAR and SAR processing, interferometric SAR (InSAR) and VideoSAR
• Expert programming in Python, including the use of geospatial libraries
• Should have delivered SAR-based use cases in disaster (ex: flood, fire, spill), agriculture/ forestry (ex: soil moisture, crop health), urban (land use/land cover), object detection (vessels, structures), subsidence/ deformation (land, road, mine), elevation products, as some of the non-exhaustive experience
• Experience working with X and C bands . Experience with L-band SAR is a plus
• Cloud-based SAR processing experience
• Must be able to solve complex problems under tight timelines
• Research-driven and self-motivated mindset
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other software development staff
