Eartheye Space Launches EartheyeESO™: A Dual-Observation Platform Integrating Earth and Space Situational Awareness
With EARTHEYE-ESO™, Eartheye Space became a pioneering company offering comprehensive EO (Earth observation) and SO (space observation) integration within a single, software-driven platform. Designed to serve defence, intelligence, and government organisations, as well as commercial and research users around the world.
“Our vision has always been to simplify access to situational awareness. By combining Earth and Space Situational Awareness on one platform, we are eliminating silos and giving decision-makers a complete operational picture. Two perspectives, Earth and Space, brought together on one platform.”
– Said Dr. Shankar Sivaprakasam, Founder & CEO of Eartheye Space.
Expanding Beyond Earth: What EARTHEYE-ESO™ Delivers
EARTHEYE-ESO™ introduces a comprehensive suite of space observation capabilities, including space situational awareness (SSA), space domain awareness (SDA) and deep space astronomy capabilities that complement our proven Earth observation. The initial release includes:
- Object Awareness: Real-time imaging and tracking of space objects across Low Earth Orbit (LEO), Medium Earth Orbit (MEO), and Geostationary Orbit (GEO), with deep space astronomy capabilities.
- Contextualisation: Advanced data processing and feed generation that transforms orbital data into actionable information about object activity, positioning, and behaviour.
- Unified Tasking-to-Delivery: The same intuitive multi-sensor tasking interface that powers EARTHEYE’s EO services will now enable users to seamlessly switch between EO and SO, or combine both—within one operational workflow.
This integration means users can monitor terrestrial and orbital activities simultaneously, resulting in something we believe represents a meaningful step forward: EARTHEYE-ESO™ delivers an unprecedented level of situational awareness across domains, giving organisations a single platform for both Earth and Space monitoring.
Strategic Importance for Defence and Government
The Hon. Arthur Sinodinos AO, Advisor at Eartheye Space and former Australian Minister for Industry, Innovation and Science, emphasised the platform’s broader significance: “Eartheye Space is continuously innovating to provide the most accessible and affordable space-based data and usable information at a time when the space domain is more important than ever as a source of new industries, applications, and the frontier of geopolitics.”
EARTHEYE-ESO™ strengthens national and commercial resilience by improving situational awareness, early warning, and risk management capabilities across Earth and space, that are increasingly critical in today’s complex operational environment.
Built on an Open and Secure Architecture
Security and reliability are at the heart of what we do. Eartheye Space maintains industry-standard governance, security, and compliance to meet the needs of national security, civil, and commercial users. Our sensor-agnostic architecture integrates multi-source observations to optimise coverage, update frequency, latency, and system resilience, ensuring that information delivery remains both real-time and reliable.
Official Launch at IAC 2025
The launch of EARTHEYE-ESO™ was presented during a dedicated media session at IAC 2025 in Sydney, bringing together Dr. Shankar Sivaprakasam (CEO, Eartheye Space), The Hon. Arthur Sinodinos AO (Advisor, Eartheye Space), and Madin Maseeh (CEO, MSRO) with the sponsorship of the New South Wales government. The launch event was led by the Assistant Executive Director of Investment NSW, Ms. Amber Stanley.
During the unveiling, Eartheye Space introduced a new strategic vision that captures what Eartheye Space has been building: “Two Perspectives. One Platform.”
This marks a new chapter in Eartheye Space’s mission to democratize access to situational awareness, both looking up into space and looking down at Earth.
About Eartheye Space
Eartheye Space delivers comprehensive situational awareness through an integrated platform that combines satellite tasking and information delivery workflows. By unifying Earth Observation (EO) and Space Observation (SO) within a single operational ecosystem, EartheyeESO™ empowers defence, intelligence, government, research, and commercial users to access multi-domain information when and where they need it.
