Job Description

The Senior Back-end (Node.js) Engineer position at Eartheye Space is an immediate joining opportunity.

Eartheye Space is a fast-paced organisation. You will be accountable for the timely delivery of the back-end application requirements of the Eartheye platform. You will work collaboratively with the front-end (Angular) and computer vision/ machine learning engineers.

Your Expertise Includes

• Have worked on Node.js in at least three projects/ products
• You are an expert in APIs
• Have worked with GDAL, Rasterio, GeoPandas or similar
• Worked in the AWS or equivalent cloud environment
• Have worked in a containerised application environment
• Have expert knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB
• Worked on a high-performance, scalable internet or enterprise application

Work Experience

You should have:

• At least five years of Node.js experience. Please don’t apply if you don’t have the required experience; we won’t get in touch with you
• Experience using GenAI
• Worked in a micro-release environment. By our cadence, 2-3 feature releases per week
• Must be able to solve complex problems under tight timelines
• Highly attentive to detail
• Research-driven and self-motivated
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Able to work in an agile environment with constant change
• Clear communication skills—both spoken and written English
